Civic Pride have collected another award this month, this time in the Royal Horticultural Society’s ‘Its Your Neighbourhood’ competition.

Civic Pride entered The Old Fold Garden (opposite Mr Fitzpatrick’s Temperance Bar) and won a Level 4 Award for Thriving, a mere one point off Outstanding!

RHS Judge Stephen Lowe said;

“It was great to see how this area had been transformed…from a foreboding, litter strewn, overgrown forgotten corner, into a superb blast of colour which will lit the spirits of all who sit and enjoy the results of their hard work.”

RHS It’s Your Neighbourhood is a grassroots community gardening campaign helping people to make lasting improvements to their local environment.

The scheme is part of Britain in Bloom and supports community groups in cleaning up and greening up their immediate local environment – whether that’s the street they live in, or a small patch of communal land needing a revamp.

Well done Civic Pride!
