Veterans In Communities, based in Haslingden, are in the running for national award as they have been shortlisted for a prestigious national Soldiering On Award.

Chief Executive Liz Hamilton said:

“We’re absolutely delighted to be selected as finalists for  these prestigious awards. As a small local charity we never thought we would get this far. Working together’ is the category we are in and it is what we do all the time with all sorts of different organisations. VIC believes that only by working together can we really support those who need us.”

Two representatives of VIC have been invited to London to attend a finalists’ reception at the House of Lords on February 9th 2017.

On the evening, VIC will meet fellow award finalists as well as this year’s independent judges, some of the 2016 awards winners, award sponsors, patrons and trustees.
The Soldiering On Awards’ night – where overall winners will be announced – will be held on March 24 2017  at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel.

Good luck to VIC from everyone at Rossendale Council.
