Proffitts are working on a project in Lumb with Peers Clough Farm which has been funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The project has 2 aims:
- To hold 3 weeks’ worth of training with a Master Dry Stone Waller to repair a section of stone wall alongside a right of way. This will take place after Easter and before May half term
- To involve the community in research and learning around dry stone walling, local quarrying, the local area and local social history generally. This will be carried out February – Easter time.
As part of this project, Proffitts are sending out a newsletter (attached below) to the wider community, inviting people to get in touch if they are interested in any of the aspects of the project.
