Local councils across the country have received money from the government to help assist in attracting customers back to our high streets.
The Welcome Back Fund is providing councils with a share of money from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) to support high streets and help build back better from the pandemic.

The Whitaker Museum has celebrated the next exciting phase in its 119 year history, with the launch of a spectacular £2.2 million re-development.
Opening to the public on Saturday 24 July, this impressive re-development was unveiled yesterday to sponsors, staff, friends and volunteers, including representatives from The National Heritage Lottery Fund, Rossendale Borough Council and Rossendale Leisure Trust.

With cases of Covid-19 still rising across Lancashire, senior figures leading the local response to the pandemic are urging the public to take personal responsibility around which measures to take.

Stop Hate UK is pleased to announce the launch of its 24-hour Stop Hate Line helpline service in Rossendale.
Funding for the helpline has been provided by the Shiva Trust Charity who provide equal opportunities for the most marginalised in society and are a source of support for those affected, their families and their communities.

SENIOR figures leading Lancashire’s response to the coronavirus pandemic have urged the public to continue to use their common sense and look out for each other when legal restrictions lift on July 19.
On Monday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson outlined the Government’s plans to lift legal restrictions in England. While legal limits on social contact and wearing masks are expected to be removed, the public is being urged to take personal responsibility and take sensible precautions.

Every year the Electoral Registration Officer is required to conduct a canvass of all residential households to confirm who is eligible to vote. On Friday 2 July 2021 over 11,000 residents will receive an email from @householdresponse.com asking them to check their information. If you receive one of these emails it would save the council time and money if you respond as soon as possible using the online response service.
