An employability Fair organised by Rossendale Works, which is run by Rossendale Council has been hailed a huge success.
Scores of jobs were on offer at local businesses who held stalls at the packed employability fair held at Rossendale Council chambers at Futures Park in Bacup.
A job seeker attending the event was delighted to walk away with an interview.

Valley Heritage have handed keys over to Rosslee Construction, in another major milestone in the Alliance @ Lancashire & Yorkshire Bank project.
Valley Heritage Trustee, Rachael Gildert, met contractors on site at the Bank for the official, practical, and symbolic handing over of the keys to the building. Rosslee are now able to access the building to commence initial works on site, making the building safe and secure for their staff before undertaking more complex work.

Local health bosses are encouraging parents to be aware of the signs of respiratory illnesses in young children, as data from Public Health England (PHE) shows cases are starting to rise in parts of the country.
Respiratory illnesses, including colds and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) are very common in young children.

Rossendale Council will be funding a town floral display to celebrate 130 years since the incorporation of Rawtenstall.
The new floral display bed, which is being created overlooking St Mary’s Way, will kickstart the ‘Celebrate Rossendale’ events to mark the milestone in a nod to the former glories of the Library Gardens.

BUSINESSES, organisations and training providers will be setting out their stall at an employability event being organised by Rossendale Works.
It will be held on Friday August 20 in the Rossendale Council Chamber at Futures Park and will have 20 businesses represented with staff from the council’s employability projects Rossendale Works and Rossendale Youth Works also on hand.
