Rossendale Council Wants to Hear Your Views!

Published October 4, 2016 at 11:00

Rossendale Council has today launched their resident survey to help set the council’s objectives and priorities for the next three years. We want to know what matters to you and your family where you live and how we can work together to shape public services in challenging times.

We want to hear from our residents and partners on what is important in making Rossendale a great place to live, what they think needs improving where they live, how the council and communities can work together to improve issues in areas as well as an service transformation ideas our residents might have.

The short resident survey is an important piece of research which helps us plan for the future. It asks a series of satisfaction questions, some preference questions and some free text boxes for respondents to leave their own opinions and ideas. The survey takes no more than 10 minutes to complete and hard copies will be available in our One Stop Shop in Bacup, at upcoming Neighbourhood Forum sessions, and the survey will be available online or downloadable from our website.

Cllr Alyson Barnes, Leader of the Council said;

No one understands Rossendale and what it’s like to live here like our residents, so their opinions are vital in this process. We want to use their expertise to set our priorities and objectives for 2017-2020. Tough decisions do need to be made but by working together we can help ensure Rossendale remains a fantastic place to live, work and visit.

Stuart Sugarman, Chief Executive of Rossendale Borough Council encouraged everyone to get involved;

This is a great opportunity for residents to be part of decision making and working with the Council to develop our three year plan. I hope everyone gets involved so that we can all work together for the benefit of Rossendale.
