Rossendale Council will hold a minute’s silence to mark the first anniversary of the Manchester Arena Attack.

The Council will observe a national minute’s silence at 2.30pm today (Tuesday, May 22.)

Councillor Alyson Barnes, Leader of the Council, said: “We want to show solidarity with Manchester a year on from those terrible and tragic events. A year has not lessened the shock and sadness of what happened. Many people from our borough were personally affected either by attending the concert or by having family there.”

The main focus of the anniversary is in Manchester.  Here is the programme www.manchester.gov.uk/mcrtogether
