A popular free mountain biking event is returning to Rossendale this weekend promising some high octane thrills and spills in the heart of the borough.
The Hope/PMBA Series Enduro Finale is set to take over the Lee Quarry Mountain Bike Trail in Bacup on Saturday, October 6 and Sunday, October 7 from 9-6pm both days.
350 racers are set to take part riding a 23-mile, six-stage course. The main competition will take place on Sunday, with practice rounds happening first on Saturday.
The event will be free for spectators and, for riders, organisers are promising:
One of our most airborne enduros for those that want air, while still being popular with XC crossover racers due to the natural singletrack loop and fully rollable timed sections. This really does have it all.
Go online for more information and see the video below for some action from the second round of the Hope/PMBA Enduro Series which also took place at Lee Quarry.
Rossendale is continuing to build its reputation as the place for fans of adrenaline sports.
The Adrenaline Valley is about ‘Adventure for All’ – from families to groups and thrill seeking couples. A chance to try something new, learn new skills or just have fun.
And once you’ve enjoyed the sports on offer, Rossendale has plenty more to offer, from great food and drink to museums and town centre shopping. It really is a great place to spend a weekend.
