From this week (w/c Monday, May 13), text reminders sent out by Rossendale Council about missed council tax payments are changing.
The new messages will be longer, more detailed and may be sent as voice messages as well as text or email.
The messages are an additional step in advance of having to issue a statutory ‘red letter’ reminder.
The Council would like to assure residents that, if you receive one of these messages, it is genuine and immediate action should be taken.
You may receive up to three messages over the course of a week. A sample message is listed below.
If you have any queries about the messages, or their content, contact:
Email: counciltax@rossendalebc.gov.uk; call: (01706) 217777 (option 1) or post: PO Box 104, Futures Park, Bacup, OL13 3BU.
