The latest round of the Rossendale Community Fund is open for applications and local organisations are invited to apply before the deadline of Monday, February 17.
The Rossendale Community Fund was created by Rossendale Council in partnership with the Community Foundation for Lancashire to offer grants to support projects that help families and children and young people engage in community activities and learning.
Grants of up to £750 are available. Applications should enable families and young people up to the age of 25 to flourish, learn and develop skills or knowledge. This includes education, training, sports development, arts and culture activities and also play provision for younger children.
Local registered charities, social enterprises and constituted community groups are eligible to apply. Applicants must have a physical base and track record of delivery within Rossendale.
Alyson Barnes, Leader of Rossendale Council, said:
The Council values the many services that local organisations provide for families, children and young people and we are very pleased to be able to continue to support local projects through the Rossendale Community Fund. Clearly we have budget pressures but, by working with community and giving small grants, we can achieve more for the borough together.
Go online for more information on the grant scheme and for an application form, or contact Community Foundation for Lancashire on (0151) 232 2444.
