Haslingden Market will be filled with the sights and smells of street food – as traders host ‘Grub Bazaar’ food market.

The event, which will be fully Covid compliant and serving takeaway food, is to run this Sunday (20 December) between 12-4pm at Haslingden Market bringing the best pop-up authentic street food to the town with this alternative offer.

Alyson Barnes, Leader of Rossendale Borough Council, said: “We know that there are a lot of people in Rossendale who enjoy great food and Grub Bazaar food market will bring together the best traders – and food – to satisfy visitor’s appetites.

“The intention of Grub Bazaar is to further invest in Haslingden and pick up takeaway street food.

“We are very confident that this will be a successful journey, and if people love the food then we have done our jobs. We cannot wait to serve the people of Rossendale.”

The Grub Bazaar has been supported by Haslingden 2040’s micro-grant scheme and the first event has been organised with the help of Saiful Islam from Suru Fusion Wok and Grill on Haslingden Market.
