Rossendale Council has taken swift action to make safe a footpath at Healey Dell Nature Reserve following a substantial tree collapse.
As the pictures show the tree limb was substantial in size and had fallen into a dangerous position on the footpath at Station Road.
Arborist’s for the Parks and Open Space Team at the Council worked all day on Wednesday July 27th to log and chip the large broken tree limb to clear the footpath and make the area safe for those enjoying the reserve.
Cllr Christine Lamb, Portfolio Holder for Operations welcomed the swift action;
“Luckily the Park Ranger reported it to us quickly and we were able to get the team on site and soon as possible to keep disruption to a minimum”.
