Rossendale Council’s fight against abandoned vehicles and fly tipping across the borough, Operation Trident, has had another successful prosecution.
The operation coordinates a three-pronged approach of education, enforcement and removal, which aims to hold to account those responsible.
Following a report of an abandoned vehicle in the car park of the Rose and Crown pub, Manchester Road, Haslingden, Public Protection Officers found an accident damaged Mercedes van which had no road tax, no MOT and foliage growing through the rear of the vehicle which was also full of rubbish.
