These are – No. 23 Neil Gerard Hair Studio, No. 25 The Pet Shop, No. 27 the vacant former Bacup & Stacksteads TMO office, Studio 29 and No. 31 the vacant former butchers shop, which is currently being used as the site office for the project.

Details of these can be seen in this drawing .Bacup THI Progress 6

Bacup THI Project Manager Steven Lever said “The team are also working towards submitting planning applications for more properties on St James Street over the next few weeks, and are hoping to be able to start the improvement works to the first of these properties in the Spring once we have completed the improvements to Pioneer Building and the RSPCA shop.

Cllr Alyson Barnes is pleased to see the progression of the scheme, adding; “People will notice some real advancements in the projects and the benefit the scheme is providing to the heritage preservation of Bacup. It will be great to see the rest of the scheme come to fruition.

The work of the Bacup THI Project continues and we’ll provide more updates on the project as we progress the scheme.
