Bacup will be in festive mood on Easter Saturday when the famous Britannia Coconut Dancers perform their annual Boundary to Boundary Dance but there’s lots more going on besides.

There will be extra stalls on Bacup Market selling local products and gifts, plus retro vintage stalls.  There will be face painting and balloon modelling from Trinity Baptist Church and Lancashire Wildlife Trust will be there with their nature table, quiz and colouring activity.

The market will also host a display and information stand on the Bacup Townscape Heritage Initiative scheme.

The famous Limitless Cheeleaders will be performing their amazing acrobatics on the market and Irwell Terrace from 10.30 and there will be a classic car display on Irwell Terrace, plus hot food from local organic farm and sausage producer Porcus.

The newly reopened Bacup Royal Court Theatre will be hosting a family fund day with egg painting, Easter bonnets, a bunny hunt and theatre tours.

The Britannia Coconut Dancers will arrive in Bacup centre at about 12 noon, performing in the Theatre and then in the town centre on Irwell Terrace.

Alyson Barnes, Leader of Rossendale Council said; “Easter Saturday in Bacup is always a great day and with so much going on this year there’s something for everyone.”
