Fantastic new signs for Fallbarn Park!
The new junior play area at Fallbarn which was launched in October this year has just been made more welcoming by new signage designed by pupils at Balladen Community Primary School.
Pupils from years 2, 3, 5 and 6 all provided designs for the signs and the winners were chosen by members of the Friends of Fallbarn Park and staff from Proffitts – Investing in Communities.
Rachel Topham from the Friends of Fallbarn said:
“The Friends of Fallbarn had a tough time choosing their favourite signs from the drawings we received from the pupils at Balladen School. There were some fantastic ideas submitted by the school and it took a few hours around the kitchen table to make a decision. We want to say a big thank you to the school and the pupils for all their hard work. And we hope everyone who uses the park will enjoy seeing the new artwork.”
Pupils pictured from left to right are: Keira (year 2), Megan (year 3) and her younger sister Sienna, Demi Lee (year 6) and Charlie (year 5).
The play area improvements were funded by Viridor Credits, Newground Together, Lancashire Environmental Fund and Rossendale Borough Council.
