Local residents will soon be able to access Rossendale Council’s new and improved website.
The new site, which will go live on Wednesday August 9, features a re-jigged layout – with an A-Z of services – that makes it quicker and easier for residents to access the information they need.
In the latest in a weekly series of blogs leading up to the launch Cllr Steve Hughes, Executive Member Champion for IT, discusses the new site’s additional and improved online forms.
We’re all used to filling in forms when filling out an application or requesting goods or services.
Increasingly we are going online to do this for the ease of use and extra speed of response.
One of the driving forces behind the re-launch of our website is the recognition that more people want to carry out their daily business online, at a time and place convenient to them.
With that in mind, filling in forms to report problems, access planning or environment documents or pay your council tax bill will be easier than ever before on our new website.
People will be able to apply for jobs at the Council and there will be convenient ways to contact us in relation to waste, rubbish and recycling, street cleansing and parks and open spaces issues.
Requesting and paying for Council services will also be easier than ever before which we hope will result in an improved customer experience and speedy resolution on queries.
