Rossendale Borough Council has now paid out more than £14 million to businesses in the valley during the coronavirus crisis.

These have Government grants been paid to 1,319 businesses across Rossendale to help them cope while being forced to close due to the pandemic.

A number of  businesses are still eligible for the grants and  are urged to apply.

The Council is keen to support all businesses in the borough, and are still contacting firms who have not yet applied.

To apply, you need to complete a simple form which will have been sent to you, and the form is also available on the council website at: www.rossendale.gov.uk

The council has prepared to deal with the anticipated demand and payments can be made quickly.

Councillor Alyson Barnes, Leader of Rossendale Borough Council, said:

We believe there are still some businesses which could be eligible for these grants to help them stay afloat during these challenging times, and we urge them to take a look at the form online and apply.

Many firms will be struggling right now after being forced to close and we want to help as many as possible.”
