The Linemark Group has won a Queen’s Award for International Trade after recording outstanding export growth — the second time the Rossendale-based business has earned the coveted Enterprise award.
Linemark and its group companies, HD Signs and N-Virol are based in Rossendale, Lancashire and manufacture world-leading line marking products, which are sold through a network of distributors to customers around the world.
Director Tony Holt said;
“It’s a huge honour for everyone concerned with Linemark, HD Signs and N-Virol and great reward for all their hard work.
The Queen’s Award for Enterprise is the most prestigious honour a business can receive and to pick up a second is incredible. I am sure it will boost our reputation even further, because there’s no finer mark of excellence.
This year it’s extra special because it is being announced to coincide with the Queen’s 90th birthday.”
Director Jan Korab added;
“Our line products and signage have been used for more than 20 years at some of the most prestigious stadia in the world. We are a global business with a world-renowned customer base. We are also innovators, which sets us apart from our competitors. As well as line-marking products, we also offer full stadium branding and we always find solutions for any difficult surface that needs an advert printing on it.”
Linemark was established in 1995 and supplies line-marking paint products and machines to major international stadiums. HD Signs, a specialist in signage and graphics, offers everything from commercial and stadium signage through to all forms of surface graphics. N-Virol produces a range of building restoration and preservation products, and a full range of basement waterproofing, basement tanking and damp proofing materials for the construction and DIY industry.
The company’s export strategy is based on investment in market research, identifying and educating distributors and market specific product development.
Overseas sales have grown by over 80% over the last three years with an increase in UK employees and overall sales.
Currently the Linemark Group exports to 34 countries and has a single distributor for each of its markets in USA, Australia, South Africa, Denmark and France.
The proportion of sales exported has increased to 29% of total sales. It won the Queen’s Award for International Trade for outstanding growth in overseas sales over the last three years.
The company also won the Queen’s Enterprise Award for Innovation in 2011.
