Leader praises carers as national week comes to an end

The leader of Rossendale Council has praised the borough’s carers and lent her support to the national celebration highlighting their contribution to society.
Carers Week has taken place all this week. It is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the country.
