Partners signed the steel of the new Rawtenstall bus station to mark progress on the multi-million pound development.
Representatives from Rossendale Council, developers Barnfield and Transdev each took turns to leave goodwill messages on the frame of the new bus station.
Transdev has committed to using the new bus station.
Work on the station, funded by the Council, Lancashire County Council and the Lancashire Enterprise Partnership, is due to finish in early summer.
Councillor Alyson Barnes, leader of the Council, said:
“I am delighted with the progress. It will be great to see it opening soon. It will be of massive benefit to the bus users of the borough and will complement the other improvements we have seen recently in public transport. Rawtenstall is on the up and the investment we have brought in and will continue to bring in, along with the exciting plans in place for phase two of the Spinning Point project, will help that buzz grow.”
