Help to improve your local community

People are being urged to have their say on improving their neighbourhoods.

Rossendale’s four community partnerships for Bacup, Haslingden, Rawtenstall and Whitworth are producing community action plans for their local areas.

Each plan will have six themes: community safety, environment, leisure, health and wellbeing, transport and the local economy.

The partnerships have begun getting people to tell them what they like about their neighbourhoods, what needs to change and how these changes could take place.

Let’s get together

People can have a say on improving their local area with the launch of four Community Partnerships.

The Community Partnerships for Bacup, Haslingden, Rawtenstall and Whitworth replace Rossendale Council’s Neighbourhood Forums which were set up ten years ago.

The partnerships will have a greater focus on how communities can work with Rossendale and Lancashire councils, the police, voluntary groups and others to make positive changes in their areas.
