Covid-19 Roadmap: Step 4

Step 4 of the Covid-19 Roadmap

Most Covid-19 measures, including face coverings and social distancing, were lifted on Monday 19 July

Other changes are: –

  • No limits on social contact
  • Work from home guidance abolished
  • Nightclubs can open and large events can resume (sports stadiums, theatres and cinemas can open with no limit on capacity)
  • Capacity and table service restrictions lifted for hospitality
  • Limit on named visitors to care homes will be lifted

Rossendale Council is advising residents to continue wearing face masks to keep themselves and others safe and to act cautiously when reacting to the latest easing of restrictions. This is line with national guidance.

You should get a test and follow the stay at home guidance if you have COVID-19 symptoms.

As we move through each of these steps, it is important that we all remember COVID-19 is still a part of our lives so we must:

  • Continue to follow the principles of ‘hands, face, space’
  • Follow the COVID-secure measures that remain in place at different stages
  • Get tested – Free rapid testing is now available to all. Go to http://bit.ly/GetTestedNorth for more information
  • Get vaccinated when offered
