People who are looking for a job or want to improve their prospects can attend an employability and skills fair organised by Rossendale Council.
They will be able to speak to around 50 local companies and voluntary organisations at the Rossendale Works event on Tuesday (July 10).
The event at The Adrenaline Centre, Haslingden, is open to the public from 2pm to 5pm. People will be able to find out about job vacancies and attend workshops on adult apprenticeships, budgeting, self-employment and interview techniques.
Rossendale Council is organising the event in partnership with schools and the local JobCentre.
More than 1,000 Rossendale pupils are expected to attend in the morning to learn about the variety of careers available in the Valley. They will also take part in a science workshop to highlight the skills needed for science, technology, engineering and manufacturing jobs.
