Rossendale Council is inviting even more local businesses to explore a range of free advice and support available through its recently established Economic Development team.
Whether you’re a new business or an established one looking to grow the Council can help. Available support includes: access to and help with applying for funding, bespoke property searches, help with expansion plans, the facilitating of strategic discussions, networking opportunities and more.
The Economic Development team is also a crucial link between local schools and relevant Rossendale based-employers; informing students of the variety of opportunities on their doorstep and giving businesses the opportunity to showcase their offer.
Following its creation, members of the team have been out speaking to new and established local Rossendale businesses and attending events to build awareness of and momentum behind the available opportunities.
They are keen to speak to many more local businesses and inviting as many as possible to get in touch.
A new twitter page has been set-up and a new website will be launched later in the year, providing a platform of business information from across the Borough.
The team have organised several upcoming events:
- Leisure and Tourism Stakeholder Event: April 18 at The Whitaker, Rawtenstall (8am-10.30am)
- Employability and Skills Fair: July 10 at Haslingden Sports Centre, Helmshore Rd, BB4 4DN (9am-5pm)
- “Celebration of Rossendale businesses” event with Dragon’s Den’s Hilary Devey: September 6 at The Riverside, Whitworth, OL12 8DP (5pm-8.30pm)
