Rossendale council and Transdev are offering free transport to all vaccination sites in Rossendale.

The council are providing a shuttle bus from Haslingden town centre to the vaccination site situated on Winfields car park. The shuttle bus runs from 1-5pm everyday whilst the site remains open.

Rosso are also helping to boost the area’s COVID-19 vaccination campaign with a free travel offer. They are offering free travel on any of their buses in Lancashire to and from a vaccination appointment to anyone taking up the offer of a jab.

Alex Hornby Chief Exec at Transdev, owners of Rosso said: We are proud to be supporting the local vaccination effort with this offer of no quibble, free travel by bus. All you need to do is present proof of your vaccination appointment, this could be a printed letter, an email or a text message.

“We are also offering free travel to and from vaccination drop-in centres, where you won’t have an appointment already booked – just let the driver know where you are off to and enjoy the free travel.”

Alyson Barnes council leader added: “We want to make it as easy as possible for people in

Rossendale to get to the vaccinations sites and recognise that not everyone has their own transport.

“The free shuttle bus from John Street car park that is being provided by the council, as well as the offer of free travel from the local bus company is a great initiative and we hope it will help encourage as many people as possible to get vaccinated.”
