Following consultation under the Local Plan in 2017 Haslingden, which was one of 4 proposed new Conservation Areas for Rossendale, has now been progressed.
The proposed conservation area focuses around the historic core of Haslingden and is intended to protect this area of special architectural and historic interest and ensure positive future management.
The Council is holding a four-week public consultation to allow for comments and feedback on the draft Area Appraisal which has been produced. The consultation will run from the 6th April to midnight on the 4th May. Copies of the draft document will also be available to view at Futures, Park One Stop Shop.

A public drop in event is being held on the 16th April from 3-7pm at Haslingden Public Library where the document will be viewable and those involved with the Conservation Area will be available to answer questions.
