Work to undertake a deep clean of streets in Haslingden is due to start on Tuesday 22nd March and last for 12 days; it will be undertaken by Rossendale firm Gumblasters.

The work has come out of the £100k Rossendale Council allocated to the Haslingden Task Force, who have set out their key priorities and regeneration plans for Haslingden Town Centre.

The deep clean will be happening on Lower and Higher Deardengate, parts of Manchester Road and Blackburn Road.

The deep clean will improve the look of the pavements and remove chewing gum.

Cllr Alyson Barnes, Chair of the Task Force said “Things are really starting to happen now though the Task Force and by working together with businesses and community groups in Haslingden, we can really make a difference to the town.”
