Residents will get a glimpse of the future of Rawtenstall at a series of public information events to be held end of September.
The Rossendale Together Barnfield (RTB) Partnership are seeking residents’ views on the next phase of the Spinning Point development.
Officers and members of the RTB Board will be on hand for residents to ask questions.
There has been a lot of ideas for phase two of the scheme including new housing and a hotel and the sessions will bring residents up to speed with what is happening.
The sessions will take place on September 28 and September 29 and will take place at Longholme Methodist Church. An online session is also planned.
Councillor Andy McNae, Portfolio holder for Regeneration and a member of the RTB Board, said:
“This is an exciting time for Rawtenstall town centre and Rossendale as well. The first phase of Spinning Point is progressing well so we are looking at what comes next.
“Our aim is to make Rawtenstall a town centre vibrant, unique and one all Rawstenstall residents can be proud of. A town centre that attracts visitors.
“We have a good track record of bringing in new investment and many of the decisions that have been taken since 2011 has led to really boosting all our town centres.
“We need residents to help shape the vision so please come along and give your views.”
The sessions will take place Thursday 2pm to 6pm and Friday 9am to 2pm. Details of the digital sessions will be released shortly.
