The Friends of Acre Village have been awarded a grant from the Heritage Lottery for their Interpreting Acre Project. The group is working with Proffitts, Lancashire County Council and Rossendale Borough Council with the aim of obtaining funding to preserve, restore and interpret the history of this interesting Victorian Village.
The group are going to be holding various events over the course of the project and one of them in the Interpreting Acre Village Exhibition which will be on display from Thursday 8th December 2016 to Tuesday 27th December 2016. They will be displaying the origins of this Victorian Village and displaying some interesting photos that have been kindly donated to the Friends of Acre Village Archive.
