A project to tackle loneliness in innovative ways in Rossendale has been honoured.
Living Well Living Better received an award for outstanding locality work at the recent East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group Awards.
Rossendale Council was chosen by the Government in 2016 to receive funding to pilot new ways of improving the health and wellbeing of local communities.

Groups and individuals doing outstanding work to tackle loneliness and isolation in Rossendale were honoured at an awards ceremony.
A community cafe, a luncheon club, a toddler group and community greenhouses were among those recognised at the Living Well Living Better Awards at the Riverside Centre, Whitworth.
Honours were handed out in four categories: most innovative project of the year, volunteer of the year, group/organisation of the year and lasting contribution.

There is now even more time to nominate people and groups who are tackling loneliness and isolation in Rossendale for recognition.
The deadline for nominations for the Living Well Living Better Awards has been extended to Friday (June 1) because of demand.

Today (Friday, May 25) is the last chance to nominate people and groups who are tackling loneliness and isolation in Rossendale.
An awards ceremony will be held next month to celebrate those who have taken part in the Living Well Living Better project.
