A free event is being held to help Rossendale businesses, charities and other organisations meet the requirements of new data privacy regulations.
Rossendale Council and Burnley College are holding the GDPR Express workshop on April 23. It is part of the Council’s Invest in Rossendale programme.
It takes place at Rossendale Council, Futures Park, Bacup, from 9am to noon and will include information from specialists on data privacy, cyber security, IT and mobile phone hardware recycling, data protection and digital marketing.
GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) comes into force on May 25 and overhauls how organisations process, handle and protect people’s personal data. It affects everything from mailing lists and information for store cards to keeping spreadsheets of names and addresses.
Register for the workshop here.
