A new date has been added for residents to get a glimpse of the future of Rawtenstall town centre.
The Rossendale Together Barnfield (RTB) Partnership are seeking residents’ views on the next phase of the Spinning Point development.
Two events have already been held and around 40 people attended to see officers.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 14 at Longholme Methodist Church between 10am to 12pm.
There has been a lot of ideas for phase two of the scheme including new housing and a hotel and the sessions have been designed to bring residents up to speed with what is happening.
Councillor Andy McNae, Portfolio holder for Regeneration and a member of the RTB Board, said:
“Thank you to all the residents who have come out to talk to us about the future of the town centre. Residents’ views are very important because we want to create a town centre that everyone in Rawtenstall and Rossendale is delighted with and can be very proud of.
“We have a good track record of bringing in new investment and we will continue to do that.”
A digital session through Facebook is also planned and will take place on Thursday, October 12 5.30pm to 7.30pm. More details to be released shortly.
