2016/17 Budget Consultation

Bacup Christmas Cracker!

Bacup got into the festive spirit this weekend, in spite of Storm Desmond! The event was by no means a wash out, a few hundred people enjoyed the festivities and Bacup market was in festive mood.

Santa paid a visit and set up his Grotto, there was face painting and balloon making alongside the retro vintage market.

New Shop Front Improvement Scheme launched In Haslingden

Shopkeepers and traders in Haslingden town centre are encouraged to take advantage of a new scheme, launched by Rossendale Borough Council, to support traders to carry out improvement work to their shops.

Under the new scheme, traders will be able to apply for grants of up to £2000 to improve the appearance of their shops.

Rawtenstall Bus Station Plans Amended Following Successful Public Consultation

The RTB Partnership has now concluded the month long public consultation on the new bus station plans for Rawtenstall Town Centre.

The consultation involved a week of public sessions which saw over 300 people come and see the plans, and talk to the team.

During the consultation we received 229 comment forms and we have been able to analyse these throughout the consultation process.

Rossendale Businesses Win Big at the Lancashire Tourism Awards

Rossendale came away with two fantastic awards from last night’s Marketing Lancashire Tourism Awards.

The Whitaker Gallery and Museum won the cultural and tourism award last night at the Marketing Lancashire Tourism Awards ceremony in Blackpool.

The award names them as the best cultural and tourism offer in the whole county.
