Northern Grip, a premier mountain biking festival which attracts hundreds of people from across the country to the borough, has been hailed a huge success.
Councillor Alyson Barnes, Leader of the Council, attended the festival with fellow Cabinet member Councillor Jackie Oakes.
Councillor Barnes said:
“I am delighted Northern Grip went so well again. It was a brilliant weekend and it was lovely to see so many people enjoying the superb facilities we have here – Rossendale is a great place for sport.
The organisers deserve huge credit for once again putting on a great event. It was lovely meeting festival goers and I even got a chance to try an electric bike. There was a real buzz around the place.
Rossendale Council is keen to support more events like Northern Grip.”
