A 50-year-old man from Stockport has been found guilty of dumping a large amount of household rubbish under a motorway bridge in Rosebank, Edenfield, by Burnley Magistrates Court, following a case brought by Rossendale Borough Council.
Mr Lee Brooks of Oakside Close, Stockport, was found guilty of dumping rubbish on 27 July 2021 and ordered to pay costs as well as compensation at the court hearing on 1 September 2022.

Operation Trident, Rossendale Council’s fight against the growth of fly tipping across the borough, has issued five fixed penalty notices since the beginning of 2022.
The operation coordinates a three pronged approach of Education, Enforcement and Removal and aims to hold to account those responsible for fly tipping, abandoning vehicles and allowing dog fouling across the borough.

Miss Leanne Kaut of Lytham Street, Rochdale was found to be the registered owner of a vehicle abandoned on Burnley Road, Weir.
