A trio of new bin wagons are being mobilised on the streets of Rossendale.
The refuse collection vehicles have been introduced by Rossendale Council as part of a rolling five-year programme to start replacing its ageing fleet of vehicles and improve the service given to residents.
The two 26 tonne and one 12 tonne wagons cost £456,550 in total and will help boost recycling targets, as well as cut down on maintenance costs, vehicle downtime and improve capacity for staff at the Council’s Henrietta Street depot.
