Rossendale Council Supports White Ribbon Campaign

The national awareness day will be supported by Rossendale Council with 5th December being Rossendale Council’s internal day of awareness.

White Ribbon is an international campaign to raise awareness about domestic violence. The United Nations has designated 25 November as International Day for the elimination of violence against women and girls.

Friday 25 November marks the third anniversary of the council working with the White Ribbon Campaign, the UK branch of the global drive to encourage men to take more responsibility for ending male violence against women. Following the national awareness day there will be 16 days of action nationally with Rossendale Council dedicating December 5th as their day of raising awareness.
