Rossendale will again play host to an adrenaline-fuelled mountain biking festival this summer.
Northern Grip returns to the borough in 2018, taking place at Bacup’s Lee Quarry and the pump track at Stubbylee Park on Saturday, July 7 2018.
Fans of cycling can look forward to an exciting day of trails, new bike demonstrations and exhibitions, as well as live music and DJs playing into the night.
Last year’s festival attracted hundreds of visitors with organisers promising 2018’s event will run smoother and better than ever before.
Northern Grip is just one of a host of events and facilities helping to secure Rossendale’s reputation across the country as Lancashire’s ‘Adrenaline Valley’.
Early Bird tickets are now available for £10.
Councillor Andy MacNae, Portfolio holder for Regeneration, Tourism and Leisure, said:
We’re really excited to welcome Northern Grip back to Rossendale for another year. I went to last year’s event and there was a real buzz around Bacup.
We are proud of the borough’s “adrenaline” sports offer. As the organisers said last year, there’s nowhere in the world like Lee Quarry. The Council is committed to attracting more events like this to Rossendale to show we really are the Adrenaline Valley.
