Keeping visitors to Rawtenstall posted

The traditional fingerposts in Rawtenstall town centre are to be refurbished and three new posts installed.
The town has eight of the cast iron signposts which direct people to attractions such as the East Lancashire Railway (ELR), the ski slope, shops, the market and other tourist attractions.
But some posts are in a poor state of repair with fingers pointing the wrong way or to places that no longer exist, broken fingers and illegible text.
