Rossendale residents are being offered free smart meters to help look at cutting costs and becoming more energy efficient.
The smart meter rollout is a national programme across Great Britain.
Smart meters are being offered at no extra cost by major energy suppliers.
They are not compulsory, but are the next generation of gas and electricity meters and can help to identify situations where residents are using a lot of energy and might want to make changes to this.
In Rossendale up to the end of March 2019, there were 10,603 properties with a smart meter installed. This figure is made up of 10,529 domestic properties and 74 non-domestic properties.
Smart Energy GB is the consumer engagement campaign supporting the national smart meter rollout.
Their website has a huge amount of information and resources with an FAQs page and resource centre for residents.
