Rossendale Borough Council has recently trialled dog training and behaviour specialist Scamp’s in order to resolve a neighbour dispute in Whitworth over dog barking.
The dog had separation issues when its owner left the house and would bark which would cause noise nuisance to the neighbour.
Scamp’s worked with the very co-operative owner and trained the dog with techniques to counteract its separation issues.

Pendle, Burnley, Craven & Rossendale Samaritans back new awareness raising campaign
Samaritans volunteers in Pendle, Burnley, Craven & Rossendale are helping to promote the charity’s brand new ‘We Listen’ campaign, which lets people know that anyone can call Samaritans, whatever they’re going through.
Striking posters in railway stations across England, Scotland and Wales contain hidden messages where people claiming to be fine are not OK at all.

Boost for Business is running a Flood Recovery Grant Scheme to support businesses severely affected (either directly or indirectly) by the December 2015 flooding in Lancashire and the fund is open until February 28th 2016.
This grant scheme is to support small and medium sized businesses severely affected (either directly or indirectly) by the flooding of December 2015, to help businesses recover quickly and get back trading successfully and being sustainable.

This is a North West partnership campaign across Cheshire, Merseyside, Blackburn, Blackpool and Lancashire.
1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men have suffered domestic abuse. It’s not just physical violence. Domestic abuse can be emotional too – like threats and controlling behaviour. It’s behind closed doors. It’s known, but not talked about.

As part of its support for the country’s biggest-ever community clear up Rossendale Borough Council is organising a mass litter-pick and is looking for patriotic community groups to join in the litter pick. .
The national Clean for The Queen campaign aims to give the country a tidy-up ahead of The Queen’s 90th birthday in April.
