Local County Council elections are on Thursday 4 May, make sure you are registered to vote in order to have your say.

You will decide who represents you in at County Council and who makes decisions on the  provision of local services delivered by Lancashire County Council.
You must be registered to be able to vote in the elections.

Vote for Local Company Arthouse

A Rossendale Company has been shortlisted for a prestigious international award – and it needs your help.

Arthouse Limited, which designs interior products such as wallpaper, wall art, mirrors and cushions, is in the running for a National Public Champions Awards, which are part the European Business Awards.

The company, which employs more than 70 people, will be battling with other UK businesses in a public vote.

Postal Vote Signature Refresh

Letters will be going out to those registered for postal voting as the annual refresh exercise takes place.

Those residents who chose to vote by post or proxy are required to provide a signature and date of birth when they first apply to prevent fraud and the possibility of someone else using your vote.

Three Rossendale Projects Up for Aviva Community Fund Prize

Three Rossendale projects are in with a chance of getting the finals of the Aviva Community Fund.

The Aviva Community Fund offers the chance for local community projects to win funding for their community project. It will finance over 800 projects across four different fund levels and six categories, spreading the awards to communities throughout the UK.

Council backs #regafriend Campaign

Rossendale Council is backing the Electoral Commission and National Union of Students’ joint campaign to get more students and young people registered to vote ahead of the local and Police and Crime Commissioner elections in May.

Called #RegAFriend (‘Register a Friend’), the campaign urges students and young people who have already registered to vote to encourage their non-registered friends and family to now do the same, by sharing messages and photos on social media.
